On October 19, 2022, Alexey Vereschaka, a world famous coating expert and an outstanding professor of Moscow State University of Technology, was invited to give a special lecture on "nano composite coating" to our teachers and students through the Zoom Conference.

Professor Alexey Vereschaka, starting from the traditional coating principle to the current nano composite coating technology, proposed the filtration cathode vacuum arc deposition coating preparation process (FCVAD), further explained the structure of the nano composite coating device under this process, the whole process of preparation experiments, and prepared nano composite coating specimens. The prepared specimen has three functional areas of nano adhesive layer, transition layer and wear-resistant layer. The cutting and mechanical property tests were carried out on the prepared samples with nano composite coating to verify that the nano composite coating samples have excellent fatigue strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and low residual stress on the surface, greatly improving the performance. In addition, Professor Alexey Vereschaka introduced the research on the surface coating of other test pieces, put forward his opinions and ideas on the application of composite nano coatings in this field, and further optimized their mechanical properties and service performance. Finally, Professor Alexey Vereschaka answered the question about the size of coated specimens. If you want to coat large-sized specimens, you need to design and revise the coating equipment that meets the use requirements, so that you can achieve large-sized coating.

Professor Vereschaka is a world famous paint expert, an engineering doctor of Moscow State University of Technology, and a researcher of IDTI of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Its research direction includes metal heat treatment, nano level multi-stage composite coating, coating corrosion and wear resistance characterization and testing and other advanced directions in related coating application fields. Professor Vereschaka was once a researcher of Moscow State University of Technology, Stankin Branch, Participated in hosting the "Development of a series of modifying wear resistant complexes of widespread use based on superlattice nanostructures and multi-component (highly entrepreneurial) composition" (18000000 rubles) and "Development and research of processes and technologies for the formation of surface modifying layered multi-component nano systems on working surfaces of critical medical and engineering products to increase their performance properties" (18000000 rupees) and other major projects.
